| Success !! We have been awarded a
grant of nearly £2500 from the National Lottery`s local Awards For All
Scheme, which will be used for our Young Drivers training. This is solely
down to Brian Worrell`s assistance and expertise, so thank you very much
indeed Brian, on behalf of BBH`s YD`s !
I`m also pleased to be able to tell you that Elizabeth Cockrane ( nee McGrath) has taken on the role of Young Driver's co-ordinator and as such she will be organising events of all types for our area. Adults needed ! - please ring Liz on 07971454104 to offer your help too. It would be really nice if those other than the usual suspects put themselves and their turnouts forward ! Training for the BDS Road driving assessments can be organised by contacting Linda, who also co-ordinates the test days. The test costs just £5.00 for members. Download your 2008 BBH green card

| 26 APR | Young Drivers only are invited to visit an interesting private collection of carriages in Hertfordshire. You`ll need to bring a lunch picnic along and wear warm clothing with waterproof footwear if the weathers not too good. If you live in the northern part of our area, you might like to know that the North Bucks Harness Club are affiliated to the BDS and would welcome new members to take part in their occasional leisurely drives. Contact them via http://northbucksharnessclub.webs.com Our area website always needs photographs of local members & their turnouts- why not send in suitable digital ones to Linda via email ? If you have access, keep an eye on our website for any last minute changes or additions to venues and if you would like to suggest a local drive venue, contact your area officials now and we`ll try to arrange something suitable. And please remember too that participating attendance at all our area events as shown above, count towards the required total of 10 on your `Green Card` - now downloadable from our area website or available from Linda. All our members are eligible for this longstanding awards scheme with the awards handed out at our Annual Dinner on Saturday 22nd November at The Novotel Hotel near Knebworth Park, Stevenage , Herts.
